With nowhere to go, they were at risk of euthanasia—a tragic ending after already enduring so much.

The Humane Society of the United States, along with Humane Society International, LIFE, Korean K9 Rescue, and the Yongin Animal Care Association, stepped in to ensure these dogs were not forgotten. They mobilized quickly, determined to give each one a second chance at life.
Rescuers arrived at the site and were met with heartbreaking scenes. The dogs, who had spent their lives locked in tiny, filthy metal cages, were visibly malnourished and dehydrated.
