The shelter staff welcomed the kitten with open arms and lovingly named it Fuji, after Chris’s mountain bike. It was a fitting tribute to the unexpected encounter that had saved its life. Now, Fuji is safe, warm, and on the path to recovery.
The little one will remain at the shelter until strong enough to be put up for adoption, where a loving family will get the chance to give it the home it deserves. Thanks to Amaretto’s incredible instincts and Chris’s kindness, a helpless kitten went from being abandoned in the wilderness to having a second chance at life.
