The night seemed ordinary until Frazier noticed a car parked by the side of the road with its lights off. Sensing something was amiss, he stopped to perform a routine welfare check. Inside the vehicle, he saw the outline of a man sitting silently. Before he could process what was happening, two men suddenly emerged from the bushes and attacked him.
The attackers dragged Frazier into the woods, beating him mercilessly. In the chaos, Frazier managed to press a button on his belt—a silent command to release Lucas from the back of the patrol car. Instantly, the Belgian Malinois sprang into action, dashing to his partner’s aid.
