When rescuers arrived, they were greeted by a friendly and gentle dog who seemed to trust that she was in safe hands. They named her Waffles, a fitting name for such a sweet and lovable girl. After scanning for a microchip and finding none, they brought her to the hospital for a check-up. Covered in dirt, Waffles received a soothing bath to clean her up and help her feel comfortable before labor.
To ensure Waffles had a calm and supportive environment for the big moment, JoAnn, a dedicated rescuer, took her into her home. Waffles didn’t make her wait long—just hours later, it was time! In a heartwarming scene, Waffles delivered six healthy puppies, each as adorable as their breakfast-inspired names: Pancake, Sausage, Beignet, Doughnut, Hashbrown, and Croissant.
Under JoAnn’s care, Mama Waffles and her babies thrived. Waffles proved to be a doting mother, carefully tending to her tiny pups as they grew stronger every day. The once-lost and vulnerable dog had found safety and love, giving her the strength to care for her little family.
